J&K minister praises IPL chairman as KXIP picked Mazoor Dar

Jammu and Kashmir’s Manzoor Dar is all set to play for Kings XI Punjab in the upcoming Indian Premier League. This news spread a wave of happiness in the terror-affected region and their minister are congratulating him.

Former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah greeted him on his Twitter account and wrote “Congratulations & all the best for the tournament. Look forward to watching you play.”

Parvez Rasool has already played in IPL apart from playing for Team India.

Meanwhile, J&K State Sports Minister Imran Ansari while congratulating the batsman hinted that IPL chairman Rajiv Shukla had helped in getting Pandav picked up by the franchise owned by Bollywood star Priety Zinta.

“I am personally thankful to Mr Rajiv Shukla Chairman #IPL who has been support for Kashmiri’s today once again showed his commitment to what he says he does. A Big thanks Sir. God Bless you,” Ansari tweeted.

“Congratulations Manzoor Dar (Pandav). Make JK Proud and thanks to friends who made this happen,” the minister added.

Dar was in excellent form during the recently concluded Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy with his bat and caught the eyes for his hard-hitting ability.
