England Test skipper Joe Root may send his name into the auction pool of Indian Premier League 2018. The auction will take place on January 27-28 in Bengaluru and Yorkshire lad is interested to be a part of the cash-rich league.
Also, he will be available to get selected in the T20 tri-series in Australia and New Zealand in early February. Earlier, the national selectors of England advised Root some rest after an intense Ashes series in Australia, where he failed to taste any success with either captaincy or bat.
The Three Lions gave the urn away after just first three Tests in Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth respectively. Australia has been dominant opponent throughout this Ashes, led by their talismanic skipper Steve Smith.
England along with Australia and New Zealand will be involved in an interesting tri-nation T20 International series, which will be played in two legs, first in Australia and last in New Zealand including the final.
