Former England skipper Joe Root is yet to play his first game in the Indian Premier League (IPL) so far but the batting superstar wowed the fans with his groovy moves along with Rajasthan Royals teammate Yuzvendra Chahal. The decorated English cricketer was signed by Rajasthan Royals at his base price of INR 1 crore, joining his white-ball skipper Jos Buttler at the Rajasthan-based franchise.

Although Joe Root hasn’t got a chance to make his debut in the competition so far, he was seen dancing his heart out to the famous song “Bharosa Tere Pyar Te”, along with the Indian leggie, Yuzvendra Chahal.

Indian leggie Yuzvendra Chahal is notoriously famous for his dance moves with his teammates whether in the Indian team or in the IPL, which often do the rounds on social media.

The veteran Indian leggie shares a special bond with his teammates, especially the overseas cricketers, including explosive opener Jos Buttler. Talking about Chahal, the willy leg spinner didn’t have the best of games against Punjab Kings as he conceded 50 runs in his four overs.

However, Chahal got the crucial wicket of Jitesh Sharma and it helped him overtake the legendary Lasith Malinga to become the second-highest wicket-taker in the competition’s history with 171 scalps to his name. He is now only behind the iconic Dwayne Bravo (183 wickets) and could surpass his tally by the end of IPL 2023.

Meanwhile, Joe Root, who impressed fans with his brilliant dance moves, could be in line to make his debut in the cash-rich league as his compatriot Buttler got multiple stitches on the little finger of his left hand after the game against Punjab. The explosive opener is a doubt for Rajasthan Royals’ game against Delhi Capitals and could see Root take his place in the starting eleven for the game on Saturday, April 8.
