After the match between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Wednesday in IPL 2022, there was a very interesting sight. Mumbai suffered its fifth consecutive defeat of the season. After the match, the players and support staff of both the teams were shaking hands with each other. Then Punjab’s fielding coach Jonty Rhodes did something so that all the players and spectators present in the stadium could not stop laughing.

Sachin Tendulkar is the mentor of the Mumbai team. After the match, they were shaking hands one by one with all the members of the Punjab team. He talked to Punjab coach Anil Kumble for a while and then it was Jonty Rhodes’ turn. Instead of shaking hands with Sachin, Rhodes tried to touch Sachin’s feet. Sachin immediately stopped them and then both the players shook hands with each other and moved forward.

Sachin Tendulkar has been by far the most popular figure in Indian cricket. Such has been the popularity of legend, he is also called the God of Cricket. Earlier in 2014, during the MCC vs Rest of World match in England, a similar sight was seen. Then Sachin played for MCC. Indian batsman Yuvraj Singh, who played from the Rest of the World team, bowed to Sachin on the ground by touching his feet.
