After having registered a convincing win in the Headingley Test, England will go to the fourth Test with a lot of confidence. But, they got a big blow as England batsman Jos Buttler is likely to miss the last two Test matches as well. However, the next Test will take place in Oval.
However, Jos Buttler will miss the rest of the matches due to the birth of his second child. Meanwhile, Joe Root has remained tight-lipped about this as well. But he admitted that he doesn’t have any confirmation about the availability of the key player for the rest of the games against India.

“That will be cleared up in the next couple of days. Hopefully, we can have some clarity on that and get that across to you as soon as that’s set in stone. I couldn’t tell you honestly either way at the minute. I don’t want to say one thing and it not turn out to be true,” he said.
He has featured in all three Tests of the five-match Test series so far. While Buttler has informed about his availability for the upcoming mega event – T20 World Cup, he has already opted out of the second phase of the Indian Premier League as well and is sceptical of taking part in the tour Down Under for The Ashes.
Jos Buttler had earlier shared: “One of the challenges is working out where the line is where you say, “I can’t do that”. I’ve sacrificed a lot for cricket and my wife and family have sacrificed a lot. You have to be open to saying no. It would be incredibly disappointing if some players feel like they can’t do it, but we’re in a world at the moment where that is a possibility.”
On the other hand, as per the Daily Mail, England are likely to bring back Dan Lawerence into the XI, while Jonny Bairstow will come in place for Jos Buttler. While Ollie Pope is fit enough, Lawrence is likely to be given a chance as well. However, with the convincing win, the Test series is 1-1 now and Joe Root led team will try to maintain their form in the absence of their key players as well.
