Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Delhi Capitals (DC) are gearing up for their clash in Match 11 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 on Saturday (April 8) at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. This will be the second and last ‘home’ match for the Royals at the venue, as they earlier hosted Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Wednesday. Both teams have played two games each, with RR winning one while DC losing both.
RR has a major injury concern ahead of the game on Saturday, as opener Jos Buttler is a doubtful starter after receiving stitches following an injury to his finger while taking a catch in the PBKS game. He did not come out to open it but batted at 3, scoring 19 in 11 balls with some discomfort.
According to the recent reports of Cricbuzz, Jos Buttler’s availability for the game will be decided after the medical staff submits its report. If Buttler is ruled out, RR will have to decide between Joe Root and Donovan Ferreira as his replacement.
On the other hand, Delhi Capitals will definitely not have the services of all-rounder Mitchell Marsh, as he is flying back to Australia for his wedding and will be away for a week.

Buttler required multiple stitches on his finger and it prevented him from opening the innings. As a result, Ravichandran Ashwin was promoted up top. In fact, he also collected the reward for the best catch in the match with a distinct white strapping on his little finger.
Rovman Powell seems to be the most likely replacement for Marsh in the XI for the Capitals, unless they decide to beef up the bowling and pick Mustafizur Rahman or Lungi Ngidi to partner Anrich Nortje. The David Warner-led side has had an ordinary start to the tournament, and another defeat tomorrow could well push them way too back to be in contention for the playoffs.
