The Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise, Rajasthan Royals (RR) have suffered a huge blow ahead of the second phase of the tournament as their veteran opener, Jos Butler has pulled out of the tournament. The England Cricket Board has allowed its players to take part in the cash-rich league but Buttler has decided to pull out of the tournament citing personal reasons.
RR took to Twitter to reveal that Jos Buttler and his wife are expecting their second child. The cricketer will spend time with his wife and the newborn baby before landing in UAE with the English players for the upcoming edition of the T20 World Cup 2021.

Jos Buttler returned to form before the earlier part of the IPL 2021 got suspended and scored 124 off 64 in RR’s 7th fixture of the season. With 3 wins from 7, RR is placed at the 5th spot in the points table.
Earlier this year on May 4, IPL 2021 was suspended after a spate of Covid-19 cases inside the bio-bubbles of four different teams across two cities. The tournament is now scheduled to be resuming on September 29 in the UAE, where the 31 unfinished games will be played across three venues.
