Renowned Indian wedding photographer Joseph Radhik recently opened up about his illustrious career and passion for photography during an Ask Me Anything (AMA) session on Reddit. Engaging with followers, Radhik invited questions about his journey, celebrity weddings, and the art of photography, sparking lively discussions among fans and aspiring photographers alike.
In his AMA post, Radhik shared a candid photograph of himself and wrote, “Hi, it’s me Joseph Radhik! Ask me anything about photography, portraits, weddings, and more! [AMA].” This invitation led to an array of intriguing questions, ranging from his entry into photography to his experiences at high-profile weddings.
When asked about what inspired him to pursue photography professionally, Radhik shared a fascinating anecdote. “After 1.5 years of scouring the internet, I photographed a friend’s wedding. One image went a bit viral on Facebook/Flickr. Within 11 months, I had to quit my job and take this up full-time. That’s the short version,” he explained, highlighting how a single moment changed the course of his life.

One question that particularly intrigued fans was about his experience at the Ambani wedding, a star-studded affair. Radhik reflected on the event with fondness, saying, “It was so much fun! We were hired by the Ambani family. A little-known fact is that we’ve also photographed the other two siblings’ weddings.”

While the Ambani wedding was undoubtedly grand, Radhik revealed that his favorite photograph came from Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s wedding. “There is a photo of Anushka and Virat on their wedding day, in black and white, with him kissing her on the forehead. It’s my favorite because it looks posed but is 100% documentary. I was grinning wide when clicking the shutter,” he shared.

The Kohli-Sharma wedding remains one of Radhik’s most cherished projects. Reflecting on it, he said, “2017’s Anushka and Virat’s wedding continues to be very close to my heart. By 2020-24, I’ve had incredibly heartwarming projects, with each year producing at least one breakthrough photo set.”
Joseph Radhik has carved a niche in capturing love’s most intimate moments. From cricket stars like Virat Kohli and PV Sindhu to Bollywood icons such as Katrina Kaif, his portfolio boasts a blend of elegance and authenticity.
