Lucknow Super Giants recently hosted a lively public event where fans were treated to an unexpected sight: the team’s coaching staff showcasing their dance moves to popular Indian tunes. Among the participants were cricket legends Jonty Rhodes and Justin Langer, who delighted the audience with their spirited performance of a Daler Mehndi song.

The event was a refreshing break from the usual pre-season preparations, allowing fans to connect with their favourite team in a fun and informal setting. Langer, who recently took over as the head coach of Lucknow Super Giants, brought his wealth of coaching experience to the franchise.

Renowned for his successful stints with the Australian national team and various domestic sides, Langer’s appointment was met with enthusiasm from fans, who greeted him with a rendition of the nostalgic Punjabi song ‘Haayo Rabba’. His presence adds a new dimension to the team’s coaching setup, promising fresh strategies and insights for the upcoming season.

 

The coaching staff at LSG has seen significant changes in recent times, with former cricketer Gautam Gambhir departing to join the Kolkata Knight Riders. However, the team remains in capable hands with spin bowling coach Pravin Tambe, fast bowling coach Morne Morkel, and assistant coaches Sridharan Srirama and Lance Klusner, all playing pivotal roles in nurturing the squad’s talent and potential.

As the season opener approaches, Lucknow Super Giants are gearing up for their first match against Rajasthan Royals at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on March 24.

Following this, they will host Punjab Kings at the Ekana Stadium on March 30, before traveling to Bangalore to take on Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 2. The team aims to make a strong start to the tournament and establish their dominance, with fans eagerly anticipating their performance on the field.
