SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) needed their veteran cricketer, David Warner to once again spearhead their batting-unit during their huge run-chase of 190 against the Delhi Capitals (DC) but the fiery pacer, Kagiso Rabada had some other plans as he did to the southpaw what Jasprit Bumrah had done to Shikhar Dhawan in Qualifier 1.

Coming into the attack in the 2nd over, Rabada bowled the first delivery right in the slot, and Warner made an attempt of licking it, played all around it to eventually get an inside edge, one that went on to ricochet on his stumps. Earlier, Delhi Capitals batted first and on the back of a scintillating half-century from Shikhar Dhawan and handy contributions from Marcus Stoinis (38 off 27 balls) and Shimron Hetmyer, who racked up an unbeaten 22-ball 42.

The Capitals took a punt by promoting Marcus Stoinis to open the innings got the team. And, the move worked brilliantly! Stonis got an early reprieve when he was dropped by Jason Holder at short mid-wicket, post which he smoked five boundaries and a six on the next eight deliveries to give DC teh much-needed start to their innings.

The duo of Dhawan and Stoinis managed to add as many as 86 runs in a mere 8.2 overs before the latter was knocked over by Rashid Khan.

Dhawan continued with his merry way and along with Hetmyer ensured that DC eventually posted a huge score of 189 for the loss of three wickets. Meanwhile, SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) have been dealt with two more blows in the form of Priyam Garg [17 off 12 balls] and Manish Pandey [21 off 14 balls] thanks to Marcus Stoinis.
