The outbreak of the Corona Virus has halted all the sporting events. The cricketing calendar has suffered because of the same. With everyone stuck indoors, the cricketing fraternity has taken over the internet. Players have kept themselves busy by giving virtual interviews amid the lockdown. New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson spoke with Cricbuzz where he mentions how he is dealing with the World Cup final loss.

Williamson says he is still trying to figure out if the 2019 Cricket World Cup final loss was a ”high or low” in his career. The New Zealand skipper adds that one needs to accept it as a part and parcel of life.

“To determine whether it was high or a low takes a bit of time. And I’m still trying to work out what it was really … sometimes it is difficult to make sense of it. You need to accept, which is that it is a part and parcel of life,” Kane Williamson said.

Williamson was judged the ‘Player of the Tournament’ during the last year’s World Cup for his stellar performance. Williamon lead from the front and amassed a massive scoring 578 runs. He added how such games make one realize that it is a difficult game to understand.

“We didn’t get the fruits but upon reflection, it was a pretty spectacular game to be a part of but a really difficult game to understand and get around because you were a part of the game,” he said.

Williamson also mentioned the difficulty in making sense of “things on the outside that you can’t control”.

He said, “When there were so many things that were out of your control, pivotal things that were so late in the match. It meant that you were trying to make sense and it was very difficult to do that,”
