Ahead of India’s series against New Zealand, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has given a new name to the Indian skipper, Virat Kohli. Virat was India’s highest run-scorer in the recently concluded ODI series against Australia. After failing to get going in the first ODI, he bounced back in style in the next two games.
Kohli scored 78 and 89 in the second and third ODI respectively as India won both the games to clinch the three-match series 2-1 after losing the first game. Kohli deservedly walked away with the Player of the Series award. The right-handed batsman will now be looking to perform in the same manner on the challenging tour of New Zealand.

And ahead of the start of the series, Kangana shared her opinion about the Indian skipper while speaking on Star Sports. While promoting her upcoming film, Kangana named Kohli as the ‘Panga’ king of Team India. She hailed the India cricket superstar as a fearless individual.
Promoting her upcoming movie Panga, Kangana said, “I am the Panga queen, and the Panga king of Team India is definitely Virat Kohli. He is fearless and is up for any challenges that come his way. This time we both will take a ‘Panga’ on the same day – mine will be at the theatres, and he will battle it out against the New Zealand team on their home ground. This will be fun.”

Meanwhile, the Indian team has already started their practice for the T20I series in New Zealand. On Wednesday, Virat himself took to Twitter to post a selfie of himself along with his teammates KL Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja and Manish Pandey in Auckland. India will play five T20Is, three ODIs and a couple of Tests in New Zealand. The T20I series will commence the tour on January 24.

This is the second year in a row that India has visited New Zealand. Last year, they had visited New Zealand for five ODIs and three T20Is. While the Indian team had thrashed the hosts 4-1 in ODIs, they had lost the subsequent T20I series 1-2.
