The Indian batters often receive criticism for their approach in the game’s shortest format. The experts claim that the template of the men in blue is outdated, sluggish, and not suitable for modern-day T20 cricket. The fans and the team management have often acknowledged that the same approach cost India some crucial games in the recently concluded T20 World Cup 2021. India failed to score quickly after losing early wickets.
Rohit Sharma, the new Indian skipper emphasized the need to play fearless and positive cricket when it comes to the T20 format. The Mumbaikar is keen to change India’s template in the T20 cricket. Meanwhile, legendary Indian cricketer, Kapil Dev has heavily criticized the slow-ish approach of India’s top 3 – Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, and Virat Kohli.

Kapil Dev was harsh while criticizing the vice-captain of Team India specifically. The legendary all-rounder does not seem to be impressed with KL Rahul’s style of play in the T20 cricket. He went on to confess that batting with the same approach will do an injustice to the team. The former all-rounder wants Rahul to increase his strike rate.
Elaborating the same, Kapil Dev said, “They have a big reputation and there’s huge pressure on them, which shouldn’t be the case. You have to play fearless cricket. All of these are players who can hit at a strike rate of 150-160. When you talk about KL Rahul, if the team tells him to play the entire 20 overs and you come back with a score of, say 60 not out, you’re not doing justice to your team.”
He concluded, “I think the approach needs to change. And if it doesn’t, you have to change the players. A big player is expected to make a big impact. Having a big reputation is not enough, you also have to deliver great performances.”

Kuch bhi. It's easy to blame the batsman especially Rohit and Virat who've single handedly won so many crucial games in world cups, but what about the bowlers ? Two ICC events we've lost because of no balls.

WC semifinal and CT final me nhi kiya bt VK has performed under pressure situations right from the start of his career..prime examples are WC 2011 and 2016 t20 wc where he single handedly knocked out Aus and then in semifinal of that wc he score 80 odd..Easy to blame
