In the lead-up to India’s crucial semi-final clash against England, Kapil Dev made a striking comparison between himself and the current Indian pace spearhead, Jasprit Bumrah. Known for his incredible skill and the ability to make the ball talk during his playing days, Dev humbly acknowledged Bumrah’s superiority. Reflecting on the evolution of cricket and the comparison between past and present players, Dev stated that modern cricketers, including Bumrah, are significantly better, despite the former generation’s greater experience.

“Bumrah is 1000 times better than me. These young boys are far better than us. We had more experience. They are better,” Kapil Dev was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.
