Karan Viradiya, the name which is not really known to many, has finally on the verge of making big as he starts playing for the USA Cricket team. The youngster, who was born in Surat, Gujarat, is all set to make his international debut for the American cricket team, according to the reports.

Karan Rajubhai Viradiya had once earned a place in the Indian U-19 squad. However, he was also found guilty of age fraud way back in 2013. And, this did affect his career and things went bad for him since then. Meanwhile, way back in July 2013, he was selected in the U-19 squad and amassed over 400 runs in the CK Nayudu Trophy as well.

However, it was later found that the birth date on his passport and school leaving certificate wasn’t the same and that had made a lot of issues in his cricketing career as well. However, he had secured a place in the India U-19 team that would be touring Sri Lanka but after the sudden incident, he decided to shift to the United States of America to play further cricket as well.

Meanwhile, on the 23rd of January, 2021, ESPNCricinfo has reported that the USA included Karan Viradiya for the first time in their squad for training as well. The batsman had played for the Gujarat U-23 team till 2017 and then he had moved to California. And, he has been quite successful there. However, Karan Viradiya scored the second-highest run in the Southern California Cricket Association Division One competition in 2019 as well.

While the tournament did not take place last year, the selection committee decided to give him a place in their extended squad. With this, it seems his cricketing career could see a rise as well. It is also noteworthy that, many cricketers in recent times have shifted to the USA for a further career as well.

Meanwhile, Karan Viradiya is well known to Indian pitches as he could be seen getting an Indian Premier League (IPL) contract. However, it will be interesting to see if he can manage one soon. On the other hand, the 2021 edition of the league has already been suspended for the time being with an immediate effect as the COVID-19 hit inside the bio-bubble. And, the rest of the games are likely to be taking place in the UAE as well.
