Karthik’s strong comeback

Dinesh Karthik, who made his way back into the side in this series has carried his domestic form along with him. The 32-year old right-hand wicket-keeper batsman was prolific with the bat in the domestic circuit and is riding the same journey in international cricket now.

Having scored 37 (47) in the first match at Mumbai, Karthik was promoted up the batting order by one position (No. 4) today. He came in to bat in the 14th over after Virat Kohli was out caught behind off Colin de Grandhomme.

Karthik remained unbeaten till the end and scored his ninth ODI half-century, 64* (92) with the help of four fours. He was involved in two individual half-century partnerships with Shikhar Dhawan and Hardik Pandya.
