Despite joining the team late in the season, his contributions were pivotal, especially in the final three matches of Division 1, even as the team faced relegation to Division 2.

While his international career with the Indian team was brief, featuring six Tests and two ODIs, Nair etched his name in cricket history with a monumental unbeaten 303 against England in Chennai back in 2016.
This innings, where he became only the second Indian after Virender Sehwag to score a triple hundred in a Test match, remains the highlight of his career.
