Team India’s middle-order batsman Kedar Jadhav has been declared fit for the upcoming World Cup and he is all set to travel with the team to England on May 22. Jadhav got injured in his shoulder during a game against Kings XI Punjab at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium in the recently concluded Indian Premier League which ended earlier this month. After that injury, Kedar Jadhav spent his time with Team India physio Patrick Farhart for recovering and passed the fitness test on Thursday as well. Meanwhile, Farhart has submitted the report to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) where he declared that Jadhav is fit and he can play again.

Jadhav earlier also got injured in his hamstring during the last year’s IPL where he was able to play only the first game. He even missed India’s tour of England last year and Asia Cup in September as well. Moreover, he had a rather forgettable IPL in this year as he managed to score mere 162 runs in 12 innings and didn’t bowl a single delivery throughout the tournament.

Kedar Jadhav is one of the key players of India in the middle-order. He is also able to break the partnership with his unorthodox off-spin bowling. Since his debut for the national team in 2014, he has played 59 ODIs where he has scored more than 1100 runs at an average of 43.48; which included two centuries and five half-centuries. He has also scalped 27 wickets for India. It will be interesting to see how he would perform in the upcoming mega event where India will begin their campaign on June 5 against South Africa at the Rose Bowl, Southampton.
