The 2024 edition of Legends League Cricket continues to deliver thrilling moments, and Match 19 between Toyam Hyderabad and Southern Super Stars was no exception. After winning the toss, the Super Stars chose to bat, with skipper Kedar Jadhav looking to guide his team to a strong start.
However, when Jadhav was batting on 15, he faced an extraordinary delivery from Shivakant Shukla, a top-order batter from Allahabad, who was also delivering some off-spin magic. Shukla bowled a short-of-a-length ball well outside the off-stump, a delivery that would normally be played with ease, perhaps with a back-foot punch or a cut shot. But this time, the ball spun sharply off the pitch in a dramatic deviation, completely outfoxing Jadhav.

The ball zipped past his bat and crashed into the off-stump, leaving Jadhav stunned. Even the opposition’s wicketkeeper, Jaskaran Malhotra, was left in disbelief as both players pointed toward the spot on the pitch where the ball had turned so unpredictably.
How much did that ball turn?!👀🥵
Kedar Jadhav had absolutely no answer to this ripper from Shivakant Shukla!

To make amends, Kedar Jadhav brought himself into the bowling attack in the 15th over, hoping to turn the game around for his team. Unfortunately, the move backfired as he conceded 18 runs in just one over. Toyam Hyderabad capitalized on the opportunity and chased down the target, winning by five wickets with 10 balls to spare.

Despite the loss, it was only the Super Stars’ second defeat in the tournament, and they have already secured a spot in the knockout stage along with Hyderabad. With the best net run rate in the league so far (+1.173), they remain strong contenders for the title.
