South Africa has managed to pull off some brilliant performances against West Indies in the two-match Test series. The visiting team arrived in the Caribbean islands for a brief tour to play a couple of Tests and 5 T20Is. The Proteas won the first Test by an innings and 63 runs and took the first lead in the series. The Proteas have against won the second Test match at Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium, Gros Islet, St Lucia owing to a brilliant hat-trick by Keshav Maharaj.
Batting first, South Africa amassed 298 runs in their first innings with Quinton de Kock top-scored with 96 while captain Dean Elgar scored 77. Kemar Roach and Kyle Mayers scalped 3 wickets apiece while Gabriel settled for 2 wickets. Jayden Seales and Jason Holder took a wicket each. West Indies lacked intent in their reply as they were bundled out of a meager score of 149.

Herman Blackwood and Shai Hope scored 49 and 43 respectively. Wiaan Mulder was the pick of the bowlers for Proteas as he scalped 3 wickets. Kagiso Rabada, Keshav Maharaj, Lungi Ngidi took 2 wickets apiece.
Proteas who already did enough damage to the Caribbeans scored 174 in the second innings and they set a target of 324 for the visitors. Meanwhile, Keshav Maharaj did the unthinkable for Proteas. The spinner became the second South Africa bowler to pull off a hat-trick in the longest format of the game.

The sensational hat-trick of Keshav Maharaj helped the Proteas to clinch a series win against the Caribbeans. The left-arm orthodox spinner on Monday took the wickets of Kieran Powell, Jason Holder, and Joshua Da Silva to register a hat-trick.
