Kevin Pietersen Pokes Fun At Team India By Tweeting In Hindi

Former English skipper, Kevin Pietersen took to Twitter to take a dig at the Indian team, after the hosts suffered against England in the first Test match, of their ongoing four-match series. Joe Root led the Englishmen to register a huge win by 227 runs, with the captain also scoring a double-hundred.

After the match, Pietersen remarked on Twitter in Hindi, that he had warned the Indian team to not be complacent after retaining the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia. Kevin Pietersen had tweeted, “India, yaad hai maine pehele hi chetawani di thi ke itna jasn na manaye jab aapne Australia ko unke ghar pe haraya tha.”

After India’s victory in the four-match Test series against Australia, Kevin Pietersen had warned the Indian team on Twitter for not taking lightly, despite their historic win at The Gabba. He advised them to not celebrate so much and to gear up for the series against England.

Spinner Jack Leach was the pick of the bowlers for the visiting team as he scalped 6 wickets during the first Test match. Meanwhile, James Anderson also took five dismissals. Also, in his 100th Test match, Root slammed 218 off 377 balls during his side’s first innings.

Having taken a 1-0 lead in the four-match series, England face India in the second Test match, in Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium, from February 13. The hosts will be aiming to put a better display, and level the series.
