West Indies and England witnessed a phenomenal context in the recently concluded five-match T20I series. However, in the end, it had to be one winner. West Indies came through with flying colors as they beat England by 3-2. Earlier, the Caribbean team was criticized for their recent below-par performances as Ireland stunned West Indies by winning the ODI series by 2-1 on Caribbean soil. After going through turmoil, West Indies registered a series win at home against England in a 5-match T20I series.
On the other hand, England were also under immense pressure as lost the 5-match Ashes series by 4-0 margin. England flew to West Indies to play 5 T20Is. West Indies won the first game by 9 wickets while England came back to win the second game by 1 run. The Caribbeans won the third game by 20 runs.

England players found themselves in a make or break situation as they made a strong comeback in the 4th T20I. The visitors won the game by 34 runs and equalled the series at 2-2. England’s win in the fourth T20I set up a perfect climax as both teams were eyeing to register a series win. West Indies had the last laugh in the battle as they won the game by 17 runs.
As a result, the hosts won the series by 3-2 at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados. Meanwhile, West Indies skipper, Kieron Pollard was so happy at the post-match interview that he started singing during the presentation ceremony.

West Indies must be really pleased with the way how things panned so far in the series. The T20I decider lived up to the hype as West Indies posted 179/4 in their quota of 20 overs. In reply, England eventually got bundled out for 162 in 19.5 overs and lost the game by 17 runs.

Meanwhile, West Indies will now be flying to India soon as they will play the limited-overs series comprising three ODIs and as many T20Is. The first ODI will go all guns blazing on February 6 at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. Rohit Sharma will be back to lead the team from the front for the ODI and T20I series.
