The documentary will be showcasing KKR’s journey in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, which was of two halves. The first installment of the tournament that took place in India, saw KKR losing one game after another. At the time of season suspension, the Eoin Morgan-led team was at the second last position on the points table, having won just two of their first seven games.

As a result, many didn’t back KKR to reach the playoffs when the tournament resumed in September. An entirely new avatar of KKR was unleashed as they kept on winning games in the UAE. The two-time champions won five of their next 7 matches and astonishingly qualified for the playoffs. The Knight Riders managed to reach the final where they eventually lost to the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 27 runs.

Although KKR failed to win the championship, their remarkable fightback earned praises from different corners. While whatever unfolded on the field is there to be seen by everyone, KKR’s upcoming documentary will narrate to fans some inside stories of KKR’s fascinating campaign. In the trailer, opener Shubman Gill can be seen expressing the desire of playing for KKR throughout his career.

Head coach Brendon McCullum and assistant coach Abhishek Nayar can be seen talking about the team’s living environment and the way the franchise treats its players. Captioning the trailer of the documentary, KKR wrote: “At the end of the day, love is all that matters. Meanwhile, KKR would be looking to retain his core for the 2022 edition of the competition. Availing all the available retention cards, the Kolkata-based team has retained Andre Russell, Varun Chakravarthy, Sunil Narine and Venkatesh Iyer ahead of the mega auction. As the side isn’t likely to go after Eoin Morgan in the bidding event, they’ll need to find a new captain as well.
