There was a rumour that Indian cricketer KL Rahul and Bollywood actress Nidhhi Agerwal were dating as they were recently seen in a Mumbai restaurant for a dinner. Now, Nidhhi and Rahul both have clarified that they are just friend since very long time.
Nidhhi smashed all the rumours and clarified by quoting, “Yes, I did go out for a dinner with Rahul. I and Rahul go back a long way. We have known each other since our teenage years before Rahul became a cricketer and I became an actress. Though we did not go to the same college in Bangalore, we have known each other for long.”
On the other hand, Indian cricketer KL Rahul also told the same words about their relation.
In a recent interview with NDTV, Rahul said, “Can’t a guy and girl be friends, is it so hard? I have known her for a long time, we both come from the same city. It’s great to see the progress she is making in her field. We have known each other even when I was a cricketer and she was a Bollywood actress. It was not just me and her hanging out, there were three or four more people from Bangalore. It’s good to catch up with friends and I assure you there is nothing happening. If I am seeing somebody, I’ll make sure everybody knows. I will treat my woman like a princess and not do any hiding.”
26-year-old KL Rahul is in the peak form as he played superbly in the recently concluded IPL 2018. From the beginning of the tournament, KL Rahul carried the whole Kings XI Punjab batting line-up on his shoulder. From playing the fastest IPL half-century knock (in just 14 balls) to playing season’s slowest half-century knock (in 48 balls), Rahul outstandingly performed according to the situation. However, his effort finally went in vain due to the lack of support from the fellow cricketers.
Rahul was the third most runs scorer in the IPL 2018 as he scored 659 runs with the average of 54.91 and the strike-rate of 158.41. His best knock in that tournament was 95* against Rajasthan Royals at Jaipur while he hit total six half-centuries in that tournament.
With his brilliant consistency batting performances, Rahul has earned an important spot in the Indian cricket team for the upcoming series.
