KL Rahul has been going through a purple patch in his career and in recent times he hasn’t taken any wrong steps. In the ODI series against Australia, Rahul gave another example of his versatality. In all the three matches, he batted at different positions and managed to prove his worth.
Rahul scored 46 while batting at no.3 in the first ODI following it by a whirlwind 80 of 52 balls in the next game while batting at no. 5 which helped India win the game and level in the series. In the series-decider, he was asked to open after Shikhar Dhawan suffered a shoulder injury. Apart from his batting, Rahul had to also keep the wickets in all the three games after Rishabh Pant suffered a concussion.
And Rahul impressed the team management so much with his wicketkeeping that they have now persisted with him in the upcoming T20I series against New Zealand. In the first T20I against New Zealand, he has been playing as the wicket-keeper batsman.
