In the playing XI, Agarwal has replaced his Karnataka teammate Rahul and impressed straightaway showing no signs of nerves of steel against the likes of Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood. Moreover, he looked confident during his stay at the crease and didn’t let the occasion get over his mind. Mayank continued playing the same way in which he played for India A in New Zealand recently and smacked a half-century in his first outing for his country.

Mayank was dismissed after scoring 76 runs just when a three-figure score was there for the taking. Pat Cummins strangled the 295th Test player for India down the leg-side to cut short his impressive stay in the middle.
