An interesting incident occurred during the ongoing fifth One-Day International match between India and Australia in Delhi’s Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium. Indian skipper Virat Kohli found something funny and burst into laughter along with Ravindra Jadeja in the middle of the pitch.

Indian all-rounder Jadeja was bowling to his Aussie counterpart Marcus Stoinis. Jaddu hit the pads of Stoinis and straightaway went into appeal but umpire shook his head after taking a time to judge the call. Kohli and Jadeja engaged in a conversation whether to take review or not and soon the Indian skipper was seen laughing along with Jadeja.

However, they opted not to go for DRS and Stoinis survived the call but soon fell after scoring a 27-ball 20 runs. His innings didn’t help Australia as they lost a flurry of wickets towards the fag end of their innings.

Earlier, Aaron Finch opted to bat first after winning the toss. He announced two changes in the team as Marcus Stoinis came back in place of Shaun Marsh while Nathan Lyon replaced Jason Behrendorff in the team.

Both openers shared their third straight 50+ opening stand in this series and provide Australia a solid start. Though Finch fell to Jadeja Usman Khawaja carried his good form forward and notched up his second century of the series. Meanwhile, Peter Handscomb backed his Mohali hundred with a fifty in Delhi.

Australia was looking dangerous at 175/1 but India pulled strings back nicely in the final overs. Bhuvneshwar Kumar took three wickets while Mohammed Shami and Jadeja managed two wickets each. Some hits towards the end took Australia to 272/9. All eyes will stick to Indian batsmen, who have to pull this chase down in order to win the series.
