Riding on his good form and fortune, Virat Kohli survived a tight stumping in the ongoing fifth ODI against South Africa at Port Elizabeth.
On the second delivery of the 23rd over, Indian skipper was beaten outside the edge of his bat by his ex-Royal Challengers Bangalore teammate Tabraiz Shamsi. Virat failed to pick the wrong’un from the left-arm chinaman bowler.
Virat’s back leg was way too close from getting out of the crease when South African wicket-keeper Heinrich Klaasen dislodged the bails. Replays showed that Kohli’s foot was on the crease and perhaps there was nothing behind it.
But the third umpire in Aleem Dar saw it in the other way and ruled the decision in the favor of the batsman. The South African camp was surprised at the decision being given in the favor of the batsman.
