Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are locking horns with each other in the 67th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. The home side has been on top for most of the game and is looking favorite to win. Bowling first, after winning the toss, KKR restricted Lucknow Super Giants to a total of 176 runs as they bowled extremely well and put the opposition under immense pressure in a must-win game for both sides.

While chasing the target KKR came out with all guns blazing as Jason Roy and Venkatesh Iyer smashed 61 runs in the powerplay. However, what has been the highlight of the second innings is the Eden Gardens crowd having a go at LSG pacer Naveen-ul-Haq.

As Naveen-ul-Haq came to bowl, the crowd took a dig at him with the “Kohli Kohli” chants. However, the pacer didn’t have a great first over as well as he was taken to runs. He conceded 15 runs in his first over.

For this reference, Virat Kohli and Naveen-ul-Haq were engaged in a verbal spat with each other during the game between LSG and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Lucknow. The two players had some harsh words to say to each other and since then whenever the fast bowler has stepped on the field, the crowd has taken a dig at him.

Asked to bat first, Lucknow Super Giants lost half of their side for just 73 runs. They needed someone to step up and Nicholas Pooran went berserk. The keeper batter came out all guns blazing and counter-attacked the KKR bowlers, hitting them all over the park.

Nicholas Pooran smashed a crucial fifty for his side and ended with the knock of 58 runs in 30 balls. He batted with a strike rate of 193.33 and smashed 4 fours and 5 sixes to take LSG to a total of 176 runs.
