Kolkata Police Arrests Six Persons For Black Marketing the Pink ball Test Tickets

Kolkata police on Thursday arrested six persons for black marketing of tickets of the historic Test between India and Bangladesh around Eden Gardens. The incident took place on the eve of the first-ever Day-Night Test match which will begin from November 22. The arrests were done by the anti-rowdy section of the Kolkata police’s Detective Department, who also seized 40 tickets of the pink ball Test as well.

“This afternoon, an anti-rowdy section team of the detective department, who were maintaining watch around Eden Garden, conducted a drive against black marketing of tickets of the upcoming Test match between India and Bangladesh. During the drive, six persons were arrested for ticket blacking and 40 tickets seized from their possession,” shared police joint commissioner (crime) Murlidhar Sharma.

However, the accused were later taken to Maidan police station for further investigation, Sharma added later.

As far as the series is concerned, India have already registered a convincing win over Bangladesh by an innings and 130 runs. They will surely try to keep their winning momentum on as well as to keep their winning streak intact at home. On the other hand, Bangladesh will also try to bounce back and give a tough fight to India in the historic pink ball Test to make it memorable.
