Kolkata Police has summoned Indian pacer Mohammed Shami who has to be present on this Wednesday (April 18, 2018) at 2 pm. Shami will be interrogated on his wife Hasin Jahan’s complaint on domestic abuse. Kolkata Police has also summoned Mohammed Shami’s brother Hasib Ahmad in this relation.
Currently, Shami is busy to play the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2018) for Delhi Daredevils. Since the early March, Shami’s news are on the top in Indian cricket where his wife Hasin Jahan brought the extra-marital affair charges against Shami and domestic violence charges against Shami & his family.
The charges against Mohammad Shami have been filed are Under Section 498A (Husband or relative of husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty), 323 (Causing hurt), 307 (Attempt to murder), 376 (Punishment for rape), 506 (Criminal intimidation), 328 (Causing hurt by means of poison, etc., with intent to commit an offence), 34 (Acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of IPC.

Later, his wife claimed that Shami could cheat his country as he had taken money from a Pakistani girl Alisbah via Mohammed Bhai. However, later BCCI Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) cleared him from the match-fixing charges as Shami got the green signal to play the international cricket as well as IPL.
Now, Kolkata Police has summoned Shami. On Tuesday, ANI tweeted, “Kolkata Police has summoned Mohammad Shami tomorrow at 2 pm for interrogation after his wife Hasin Jahan had filed a domestic abuse complaint against him.”
But according to some sources, Shami can’t be present at Lalbazar, the Kolkata Police headquarter, on Wednesday. His lawyer has sent a letter to Lalbazar by pointing out that it will be not possible for Shami to present for interrogation before the end of the IPL season.
Kolkata Police also summoned Shami’s brother Hasib Ahmad. Hasin Jahan alleged him for trying to rape her.
Hasin Jahan’s advocate Zakir Hossain said, “I was informed by officers of Kolkata Police that they have summoned Hasib Ahmad for interrogation.”
Meanwhile, Hasin Jahan recently claimed that she has lost her faith in Kolkata police.
According to TOI, Hasin recently quoted, “I had a lot of faith in the city police initially, but seeing the way the case is being handled, I am slowly losing my faith. It seems any celebrity can escape the law using his influence and power, and helpless citizen like me will continue to suffer.”

Recently, Hasin had met with Shami in Delhi during the Indian pacer had a car accident. However, Shami showed no interest to talk with her in that meeting.
When Hasin was asked about whether she wants to meet with Shami once again, she said, “What is the use? He had humiliated me when I went to Delhi to meet him. There is no point in me trying to meet him again and facing insult. I would rather be happy if the cops meet him.”
Presently, Hasin is in Kolkata while Delhi Daredevils pacer Shami played an IPL match against the home team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Eden Gardens (Kolkata) on Monday night.
