In a memorable moment during the IPL 2024 clash between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Mumbai Indians (MI) at Eden Gardens, a fan became the centre of attention after he attempted to keep a ball hit for a six by a KKR batter. The incident occurred during a rain-curtailed match, with KKR setting a competitive total of 157/7 in 16 overs.
One particular six caught the attention of the crowd as it landed in the hands of a KKR fan sporting a Rinku Singh jersey. The fan, seemingly eager to keep the ball as a memento, tried to conceal it in his trousers but was soon confronted by a vigilant policeman.
The video capturing the exchange between the fan and the policeman quickly spread across social media platforms, garnering widespread attention. After a brief standoff, the policeman successfully retrieved the ball and returned it to the field.
