The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019 has already witnessed a couple of controversies. It all started with Ravi Ashwin Mankading Jos Buttler at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. Buttler was out of his crease before the ball was delivered by Ashwin, who dislodged the bails at the non-striker’s end. The Rajasthan opener was given out and it gave rise to the controversy for the next few days. A similar incident had almost taken place in Mohali on Saturday as Krunal Pandya warned Mayank Agarwal from leaving the crease.

In the 10th over of the chase, the incident took place where Mumbai Indians (MI) were in the need of a wicket with Agarwal smashing the bowlers all over the park. KL Rahul was also ready to face the ball but Krunal stopped in his run-up and gestured the batsman to stay inside the crease. Krunal was spot on as he had all the right to warn the batsman taking the advantage.

However, one has to credit Pandya as well here. He didn’t dismiss Agarwal and instead just warned the batsman in the presence of the umpire. Normal sense prevailed in the end as Mayank also realized his mistake and stayed in the crease for the latter part of his innings.

Here’s the video:

As far as the match is concerned, the Kings XI chased down the target of 177 quite easily as they started off well with Chris Gayle taking on the Mumbai Indians’ pace bowlers. But Krunal bowled well to get things back on track. However, his efforts weren’t enough for the visitors with KL Rahul also finding his groove at the perfect time for his team.

Rahul anchored his innings well despite struggling for most parts of the innings. But when the team needed to score him quickly he unleashed himself at the right time. Even Agarwal had fun during his stay at the crease. Eventually, Rahul and David Miller sealed the chase easily even as Lasith Malinga and Jasprit Bumrah tried their best in the last few overs.
