The Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise, Mumbai Indians (MI) all-rounder Krunal Pandya has currently been going through a mandatory quarantine in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) along with the rest of the squad, ahead of the 13th edition of the tournament. The players of other IPL franchises are also going through a quarantine, with medical tests scheduled on the first, third and sixth day of the phase.
Players are required to test negative on all three occasions will be entering the bio-bubble provided, with an option to start training. However, Pandya has already started preparing for the IPL 2020 in his hotel room, and recently uploaded a video of the same on his official Twitter handle. In the video, he can be seen lifting weights and practising freestyle exercises. Captioning the post, Krunal wrote: “Quarantine won’t stop the work out”.

This was followed by the same video being posted on the Mumbai Indians Twitter account and they captioned it as: “No rest days!”

The all-rounder had recently shared a picture with brother Hardik on social media, where both the all-rounders can be seen wearing PPE kits, ahead of their UAE flight. Captioning the post, Krunal wrote: “We’re getting used to our new travel kit. UAE, here we come.”

MI are the defending champions, having defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the final of the previous edition of the tournament by 1 run. They are being led by the veteran Indian opener, Rohit Sharma, who will be conferred with the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award on August 29.
The 2020 edition will begin on September 19 with the final set to be played on November 10. The tournament will be played for 53 and for the first time the final of the tournament will pkayed on a weekend as November 10 is Tuesday.

The tournament opener will be played between the finalists of the IPL 2019 – Mumbai Indians and Chenni Super Kings.
