WATCH – Kuldeep Yadav Captures Rohit Sharma’s 100th T20I Six

After facing a demoralizing loss in the first T20I of the three-match series in Wellington, Team India enter the Eden Park in Auckland with the determination to make a comeback. After winning the toss, the Kiwi skipper, Kane Williamson decided to bat first and surprisingly, the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma also wanted to chase. Indian bowlers responded well as the hosts only managed to score 158 runs in their quota of 20 overs and India chased down the total after losing just 3 wickets and 9 balls to spare.

Coming into the chase, Team India started quite well with Rohit (50) scored a fifty while Dhawan scored 30 runs. Sharma also became the highest run-scorer in T20Is. However, an event occurred in the 4th over of the chase, when Kuldeep Yadav was seen handling one of the cameras at the ground and soon after that Rohit smashed his 100th T20I six.

Ahead of the third ball of the over, Yadav was seen handling the camera and on the next ball, Sharma decided to take on the bowler as Scott Kuggeleijn was bowling the over and smashed a boundary as he picked the length of the ball early and smacked it over mid-on and the took one bounce before crossing the ropes.

On the very next ball, Sharma smashed his 100th six in T20Is and became the first Indian batsman to do so. He used the pace on the ball and targetted the short boundary in the fine-leg region. It was a lovely pick-up shot and surprisingly, Kuldeep was seen capturing the shot with a huge camera in his hand. Rohit also became the highest run-scorer in T20Is after scoring 50 off 29 balls in Auckland. Surprisingly, Rohit was also seen wearing the ni. 59 jersey during the knock instead of his regular no. 45.
