Kuldeep Yadav Doesn’t Name Kohli as Toughest Batsman

The outbreak of the COVID-19 virus has brought the world to a standstill. Many major sporting events have either been postponed or canceled in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic affecting the globe. Cricket has also suffered a similar fate with many international and domestic matches being canceled.  With no cricket going on, all the cricketers have a lot of free time on their hands right now. Many cricketers have also been proactive on their social media in the past few weeks due to the lockdown. In a recent interview, Indian offspinner  Kuldeep Yadav names the toughest Indian batsman he has to bowl in the net sessions.

Kuldeep Yadav feels that Cheteshwar Pujara is the toughest batsman to bowl in the nets. He has heaped praise India’s Test specialist as one of the best spin players in red-ball cricket. Earlier, the chinaman named Rohit Sharma as the toughest batsman to bowl in the ODI cricket. He also believes that the upcoming generation is also very good at playing spin these days.

Speaking to cricket.com, Kuldeep says,  “Toughest batsman in the nets is Cheteshwar Pujara I guess. He plays very well against any offspinner, especially in Test cricket. And in ODI format it is Rohit Sharma. Of course, there are plenty of youngsters as well. They aren’t afraid of going for the big shots. So everyone is good. But Pujara in Tests is really difficult to bowl to.”

Kuldeep Yadav has kept himself busy during the lockdown, the spinner has been actively giving interviews from his home during this lockdown. During one of his interviews, Kuldeep Yadav recalled his international debut in 2017 against Australia. It was the Dharamsala Test where the chinaman shone first at the highest level and left the visitors stunned with his variations.

“I get emotional when I remember my Test debut in Dharamsala. The most important thing for me at the time was how to perform. I remember a day before the match, Anil sir came to me and said ‘you will play tomorrow, you have to take 5 wickets’,” he had said remembering one of the memorable moments of his career.
