India spinner Kuldeep Yadav has received a dose of the COVID-19 vaccine on Saturday. After that, he has shared a photo and also asked everyone to get vaccinated against the fight of the coronavirus pandemic.

He shared the photo and wrote the caption in Hindi which reads: “Get vaccinated immediately whenever you get a chance. Be safe because you need to be united in the fight against COVID-19.” However, soon after he added the picture, he got into trouble as Kanpur district administration has ordered an inquiry against him on the allegation that cricketer Kuldeep Yadav received the coronavirus vaccine at the guest house instead of taking at the hospital where he had booked a slot as well.

As per the reports, Kuldeep Yadav was given the vaccine in the lawn of the Kanpur Nagar Nigam guest house, instead of Jageshwar Hospital in Govind Nagar for which he took an appointment, a senior official on condition of anonymity has revealed this as well. On the other hand, Kanpur District Magistrate Alok Tiwari has said that ADM Atul Kumar has been asked to inquire about the incident and submit the report as soon as possible.

However, he has been dropped from the India’s Test squad for the upcoming tour to England where they will play in the inaugural World Test Championship (WTC) against New Zealand and then will take on England for the five-match Test series as well.

Meanwhile, former India wicketkeeper-batsman Deep Dasgupta has recently revealed that he is surprised to see the exclusion of Kuldeep Yadav from the Test squad of India for their tour of England. He also stated that the youngster must be backed as he has a very unique skill set.

“With Kuldeep, I am a little surprised (not picked for England tour). Because a year ago, he was the No. 1 spinner. Within a year, he is not on the contract list. He is not there on any side. He might be there in the side for Sri Lanka. But I am a little surprised. Obviously, his arc has gone down, his performances have gone down. I still believe that his skill set is very unique. And we need to keep investing in him,” Dasgupta told Sports Today.
