Indian chinaman bowler, Kuldeep Yadav, has become only the third Indian after Chetan Sharma and Kapil Dev to grab an ODI hat-trick. Yadav achieved the feat in the ongoing second ODI against Australia at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
His spell was an epitome of the fact that how things can change in cricket. Yadav was hit by Glenn Maxwell for two consecutive sixes and was wicket-less until the hat-trick happened. In his first seven overs, Yadav had leaked 39 runs. However, he was quick to turn the tables on the Australians.
On the second delivery of the 33rd over, Matthew Wade (2) chopped on a Yadav delivery on to his stumps. Ashton Agar (0), who was playing an ODI after more than two years, was found wanting in front of the stumps on the following delivery. Pat Cummins (0), who walked in after the wicket of Agar, was undone by another Yadav delivery as he edged the ball to MS Dhoni.
