Delhi Capitals (DC) leg-spinner Kuldeep Yadav has been impressive in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 so far. He has been leaving a lot of batters perplexed and he did the same during a practice match ahead of DC’s clash against the Lucknow Super Giants on April 7. The Capitals have won one out of their two matches in IPL 2022. However, Kuldeep has been impressive with the ball so far, scalping four wickets in a couple of games.

The 27-year old was a touch expensive against the Gujarat Titans. Kuldeep Yadav bowled a spell of 1/32 in his quota. However, Kuldeep was adjudged player of the match against the five-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI) in DC’s first match. Kuldeep scalped some big fishes including skipper Rohit Sharma, Kieron Pollard, and Tim David, as the Capitals went on defeat MI by four wickets.

In the practice match, Kuldeep Yadav bowled a wrong-un as the batter was charging toward him, but he was outfoxed by Kuldeep and the rest was done by the wicketkeeper behind the stumps.

After warming the bench for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the last couple of seasons, the 27-year old put himself under a base price of INR 1 crore. The left-arm spinner was bought by the Delhi Capitals after doing just one bid of INR 2 crore to bag his services.

Talking about Kuldeep’s numbers in IPL, the left-arm spinner has played a total of 47 matches in which he has scalped 44 wickets at an average of 29.23. He bowls at an economy of 8.17 and also has one four-wicket haul under his name. Meanwhile, the Capitals will take on the Super Giants in a group stage match to be played in Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai on April 7.
