Kuldeep Yadav was fired up during the second innings of the high-stakes IPL 2025 clash between Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Titans at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. With Gujarat chasing a challenging 200-run target, the onus was on Delhi’s bowlers to deliver—and Kuldeep brought the heat, both literally and emotionally.

Gujarat’s openers, Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan, were off to a blazing start, putting up 59 runs in the powerplay. Their dominance early on put Delhi under serious pressure. In search of a breakthrough, captain Axar Patel turned to Kuldeep Yadav in the 8th over, and the left-arm wrist-spinner nearly struck gold with his very first delivery.

Kuldeep tossed one up around middle and leg, drawing Sai Sudharsan into a flick across the line. The left-hander missed, and the ball thudded into the pad. The Delhi fielders went up in unison, convinced they had their man, but on-field umpire Keyur Kelkar shook his head. Not out.

Kuldeep couldn’t hide his frustration. As the big screen replay confirmed the narrow escape, his face turned visibly red with rage. He walked up to the umpire and exchanged a few words, clearly unhappy with the decision. The emotional reaction reflected how critical that moment was in the context of the chase.
