The Chinaman bowler explained, “This has not happened overnight. It was frustrating to be away from the team for five months after surgery. It took time for everything to fall into place. I never wanted to lose my grip and drift. Once the rehabilitation was done, I thought ki kuch karte hain (let’s do something).”

Kuldeep credited his recovery to the guidance of the physio at the National Cricket Academy (NCA), Ashish Kaushik, who advised him to minimize the load on his knees. This advice prompted Kuldeep to make adjustments to his speed and rhythm, leading to improvements in his game.

Kuldeep also mentioned changes in his bowling technique, including a straighter run-up, a more aggressive rhythm, and better control over his hand position, all of which contributed to his success.
