Former India captain MS Dhoni has been a driving force to the young blokes in Indian cricket. He has not just been a role model but also a mentor helping the players learn more about the game. Indian team captain and deputy Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have often praised the Ranchi-born wicket-keeper’s influence on them and the Indian cricket fraternity. One such player who can’t stop expressing the influence of MS on his career is Indian spinner, Kuldeep Yadav. Kuldeep has established himself as India’s first-choice spinner in limited-overs cricket under the leadership of MS Dhoni. He has heaped praise on MS Dhoni and thanked him for passing valuable instructions from behind the wickets that have helped him become a better bowler.

The 25-year-old also mentioned how he doesn’t miss his childhood coach who has a similar philosophy in spin bowling as MS Dhoni.

“He always used to tell me ‘ball ko spin karana hai (you have to spin the ball) rather than bowling flat’. This used to remind me of my coach. This is the best thing that I heard from Dhoni and because of this I never felt like I was missing my coach,” he added.
