India completed a historic victory over Afghanistan in the one-off Test in New Chandigarh, registering their biggest-ever win in Test cricket. The match ended on Day 3, with the hosts sealing a dominant innings-and-300-run triumph after another clinical bowling performance. Among the standout moments of Afghanistan’s second innings was a brilliant double strike from Kuldeep Yadav, who picked up two wickets in two deliveries to put the finishing touches on India’s commanding display.

The left-arm wrist-spinner struck on the fourth ball of the 36th over when Nangeyalia Kharote attempted to play a delivery that spun away from him. The batter could only guide the ball towards point, where debutant Manav Suthar moved smartly to his left and completed a sharp catch.
Kuldeep wasted no time making a second breakthrough. On the very next ball, he produced a well-disguised googly around leg stump. Mohammad Saleem Safi went for an ambitious slog but managed only a leading edge, which was comfortably taken by Sai Sudharsan at cover. With injured Sharafuddin Ashraf unable to bat, Afghanistan’s innings quickly came to an end.
