The fiery Indian pacer, Jasprit Bumrah has always been known for breaking partnership whenever Team India needs. Similarly, during the fourth ODI of the five-match series against Australia at the PCA Stadium in Mohali, he broke the 192-run partnership of the third wicket of Australia between Peter Handscomb and Usman Khawaja by the dismissing the latter with the with of a brilliant catch by Kuldeep Yadav in the 34th over. 

Earlier in the game, Shikhar Dhawan notched up his highest ODI score of 143 off just 115 balls and had stitched a 193-run opening stand with Rohit Sharma, who was dismissed for 95. Dhawan silenced his critics and hit peak form as his knock of 143 off 115 balls had 18 boundaries and three sixes. India managed to reach a total of 358/9 in their quota of 50 overs.

India made four changes in the squad as, Ambati Rayudu, MS Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja, and Mohammed Shami made way for KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. On the other hand, Australia also made a couple of changes as Marcus Stoinis and Nathan Lyon made way for Ashton Turner and Jason Behrendroff.

Coming into the chase, Australia lost Aaron Finch and Shaun Marsh in the first overs itself as they were cleaned by Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Bumrah respectively. Then the partnership between Khawaja and Handscomb started to rise.

On the very first ball of the 34th over, Bumrah delivered a short ball to Khawaja from round and the stumps and the batsman hurried on to the pull shot as the ball got the top edge. Kuldeep was at the deep fine leg and him late to run in but he certainly wasn’t in any dilemma about not going for the catch. The ball was dipping when Yadav threw himself forward and he managed to cup his hands underneath the ball. It was a brilliant catch by the chinaman.
