In the heat of the IPL clash between Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Titans, Kuldeep Yadav’s fiery temperament was on display once again. During the 32nd game of the IPL 2024 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, the left-arm spinner let his emotions out after a misfield from his teammate.
The incident unfolded in the eighth over as Kuldeep Yadav bowled to Gujarat Titans’ Rahul Tewatia. Tewatia nudged the ball towards the point region, and Abhinav Manohar, stationed at the non-striker’s end, sought a quick single. However, Mukesh Kumar’s throw towards the non-striker’s end was off-target, irking Kuldeep Yadav, who exclaimed, “Pagal wagal hai kya? (Are you crazy?)”

Despite the internal hiccup, Delhi Capitals managed to dominate the game, restricting Gujarat Titans to a paltry total of 89 runs in less than 18 overs after opting to bat first. This marked the first instance in IPL history where Gujarat Titans were dismissed for less than 100 runs in an innings. Their previous lowest total in the IPL stood at 125/6, incidentally also against Delhi Capitals.

Struggling from the outset, Gujarat Titans failed to gather momentum as wickets tumbled consistently. Only three batsmen managed to reach double digits, with Rashid Khan top-scoring with 31 runs. Sai Sudharsan (12) and Rahul Tewatia (10) were the other contributors.
Delhi Capitals’ bowling unit put up an impressive display, with right-arm pacer Mukesh Kumar leading the charge, scalping three crucial wickets for 14 runs in less than three overs. Ishant Sharma and Tristan Stubbs provided valuable support, claiming two wickets each.
