In the second match of Sunday’s doubleheader, the fans witnessed one of the most dominating performances by the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Under the captaincy of MS Dhoni, CSK trashed the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) by 10 wickets at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The Yellow Army chased down 179 in 17.4 overs with as many as 14 balls to spare without losing any wicket.

After KXIP won the toss, and Rahul elected to bat first and the odds were stacked against the Super Kings. It’s because the chasing teams had never won a game in Dubai this season in earlier seven games. However, Faf du Plessis and Shane Watson added 181 runs for the first wicket to help CSK get over the finishing line.

Most importantly, the Yellow Army got itself up to sixth from the bottom of the points table. Dhoni finally got the chancing for breathing a sigh of relief after CSK’s batting coming back on track despite dismal performance in the tournament.

Meanwhile, after the game, MS Doni was seen giving some tips to KXIP’s Mayank Agarwal and KL Rahul, who both listened to the veteran with perfect attention. The video of the same was uploaded on IPL’s official Twitter handle.

Here’s the video:

As far as Rahul and Agarwal are concerned, they are the most consistent batsmen in the tournament so far. Both are among the leading run-getters in the tournament, however, have lacked support from the others. In Dubai, Rahul didn’t flatter to deceive. Opening the batting, Rahul added 63 runs off 52 balls with the help of seven fours and a six.
