KXIP Will Be Enjoying The Largest Salary Cap During IPL 2021 Auction

Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) will be entering the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 player auction set to take place on February 18 in Chennai, with the biggest purse among all franchises. The Punjab-based franchise will be enjoying the salary cap of ₹53.20 crores, with nine available slots which include five overseas slots. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) are the smallest salary cap of ₹10.75 crores before going into the player auction.

KKR has the ability to add eight players to their squad. SRH on the other hand has three slots available for player additions with one of them being an overseas slot. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will be enjoying the biggest purse after KXIP, with a salary cap of ₹35.90 crores. The Bangalore-based franchise has 13 player slots available with four of them being overseas slots.

RCB is followed by Rajasthan Royals (RR) who have a salary cap of ₹34.85 crores. The Rajasthan based franchise has eight slots available with three of them being overseas slots.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK)

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is the name on the list and they are currently having a salary cap availability of Rs 22.90 crore. CSK has the capacity of buying seven players with one of them being an overseas slot.

Mumbai Indians (MI) and Delhi Capitals (DC) are the two remaining teams with a better budget than KKR and SRH. While the Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai-based franchise is currently having a decent salary cap of ₹15.35 crores, DC has a sum of ₹12.90 crores in their kitty.

MI has seven available player positions to fill with four of them being overseas slots. The Delhi-based franchise has six available slots with two of them being overseas slots. The IPL 2021 auction will be taking place on February 12.
