Delhi Capitals pacer Kyle Jamieson has been handed one demerit point after his fiery send-off to Rajasthan Royals teenager Vaibhav Sooryavanshi in IPL 2026. The incident took place during Match 43 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Friday, and the fast bowler has also received a warning for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct.

According to the IPL, Jamieson violated Article 2.5, which addresses language, actions, or gestures that could provoke an aggressive response from another player. The dismissal came in the second over of RR’s innings, when the New Zealand pacer removed the 15-year-old Sooryavanshi and then walked up to him in an aggressive manner.

The match referee, Rajeev Seth, imposed the sanction after Jamieson admitted the offence. The heat of that moment, however, did little to slow Delhi Capitals down in a thrilling chase. Rajasthan Royals had earlier posted a strong 225/6, with Riyan Parag leading the charge with a fluent 90 off 50 balls and Donovan Ferreira finishing unbeaten on 47 off 14.

Mitchell Starc then played a key role for DC with the ball, returning figures of 3/40 to pull things back at a crucial stage. In reply, Delhi Capitals produced their best chase in franchise IPL history. KL Rahul anchored the innings with a composed 75 off 40 balls, while Pathum Nissanka added a brisk 62 off 33 deliveries.

Their 110-run opening stand gave DC complete control of the chase and kept the asking rate in check. With Tristan Stubbs and Ashutosh finishing the job calmly at the death, Delhi crossed the line with five balls remaining. It was a high-quality chase under pressure and a result that handed DC their fourth win of the season, while also setting a new benchmark in their IPL journey.
