Since the inception of social media, fans have been able to express their gratitude to their favorite cricketers but sometimes the players from different countries also share their bond on the social media and recently Ravichandran Ashwin, and Russell Arnold was involved in a similar kind of act.

Taking to Twitter, Arnold said, “Congratulations on your wonderful achievement @ashwinravi99 #quickestto300wkts always enjoy watching you bowl…..ah …and thanks for the ? after hearing my Thamisz pitch report this morning. #confidence.”

Ashwin achieved the feat in the just-concluded second Test against Sri Lanka in Nagpur. He achieved the milestone in just 54 Test matches, broke former Australia pacer Dennis Lillee’s record who had taken his 300th Test wicket in his 56th Test and had set the record way back in 1981.
Meanwhile, Ashwin was quick to return the favor to Arnold as he thanked the latter for the congratulatory message and also praised him for his Tamil commentary. Ash tweeted, “Thanks Russ, enjoy your commentary in general, the Tamil commentary this morning was even more enjoyable, but your twitter banters are a notch better than the best.”
