New Test Players’ ranking announced on Monday, where the top six batsmen remained unmoved while Mitchell Starc gained the best prize as he climbed up at the fifth position in the Test bowlers and all-rounders rankings. Amon the Indians, Spinner Ravichandran Ashwin slipped down in Test bowling ranking while skipper Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara remained in their same Test batting rankings.
In the latest Test players’ ranking, Australian skipper Steven Smith remained as the top-ranked Test batsman while English pacer James Anderson and Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan remained as the top-ranked Test bowler and top-ranked Test all-rounder respectively.

The top six remained unmoved. It means Indian skipper Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara remained at their second and sixth position respectively.
Apart from the top ten, Australian Marsh brothers gained better spot along with the South African batsmen Aiden Markram and AB de Villiers. Shaun Marsh climbed up his career-best 16th spot while his brother Mitchell Marsh moved up to 13th spot as he is now standing at 43rd place.
South African opener Markram managed to get his new career-best ranking as he is now at rank 19. While Hashim Amla dropped down to 10th spot, AB de Villiers climbed up to at 12th place.

The top four rankings remained unmoved, while Australian left-arm pacer Mitchell Starc gained his best career ranking as he is now at rank 5 in the ICC Test bowling ranking. Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin slipped down along with South African pacer Vernon Philander, New Zealand pacer Neil Wagner and Sri Lankan left-arm spinner Rangana Herath. Australian spinner Nathan Lyon climbed up to the 10th spot in the ICC Test bowling rankings.
Apart from this, South African left-arm spinner Keshav Maharaj climbed up to at no. 18.
